Our story

The recipe that started it all.

Before it was a business, it was a Saturday habit — one kettle, one bag of pork skin, and a spice rub Glenda learned from her mother. Here’s how that habit became a brand people drive across town for.

How it began

From one backyard kettle to bags people fight over.

Glenda didn’t start out selling anything. She fried pork crackling for family cookouts because it was the one dish that emptied first — gone before the burgers, gone before dessert. Neighbors started asking if she’d fry a bag for them too, and then a bag turned into five, and five turned into a standing Saturday order.

What makes it different isn’t a secret ingredient — it’s the refusal to rush. Every batch is still fried in small kettles, watched by hand, and seasoned the moment it comes out of the oil so the rub actually sticks instead of just sitting on top.

Today, Glenda’s Pork Cracking is stocked at a handful of local markets and served at weekend pop-ups — still small enough that Glenda tastes every batch before it’s bagged.

What we believe

Three rules we don’t bend on.

Small-batch isn’t a marketing word here — it’s the reason the crunch actually holds up.

01

Small-Batch Only

We cap every fry so quality never gets traded for volume. If we sell out, we sell out.

02

Real Ingredients

Pork, hot oil, and Glenda’s rub. No fillers, no preservatives, nothing to explain.

03

Fried To Order

Nothing sits on a shelf. Bags are sealed hot and moved fast so the crunch survives the trip home.

How it’s made

Four steps. Zero shortcuts.

  1. 1

    Source & Trim

Quality pork skin is sourced fresh and trimmed by hand, batch by batch.

  2. 2

    Season & Rest

Glenda’s rub goes on early and rests overnight so the flavor sets in.

  3. 3

    Kettle-Fried Fresh

Small batches, watched closely, never rushed and never left unattended.

  4. 4

    Packed While Hot

Sealed straight from the fryer so every bag arrives loud with crunch.
